Variable function bar

In the PROFI display on the right-hand side, you will see the variable function bar. As the name suggests, you can arrange variable functions there. Depending on which functions are most important to you. A total of 16 functions are available. There are therefore four blocks, each with four functions.

Are you looking for a guitarist or a piano player to accompany you live? Then the new WERSI Vision is just right for you.

You may be familiar with the term “WERSI Vision”. In analog organs, such as the HELIOS or GALAXIS, this name was used for what is now a very simple arpeggiator.

At that time still very rudimentary, the WERSI Vision provided an arpeggio that could also be used without a running rhythm.

You can also conjure up an arpeggio from the new WERSI Vision. Today, however, we are 50 years ahead in terms of development, and the musicality and functionality have expanded in many ways.

If you want to change the sound of a pattern, you can use the “Pattern Edit” function.

If required, you can also control the WERSI Vision function during live play via the mini display.

The new WERSI Chord Band function is a fantastic further development of the well-known WERSI Chord function. The WERSI Chord Band now offers the possibility of transforming a melody played with one finger into a big band or an orchestra.

The extension package requires the activation of “OAX Version 3.0 + WERSI Vision”.

The WERSI Chord first requires a melody that you play on the upper manual, then the information about the harmony played on the lower manual is required.

Just as is the case with a style. The software then calculates a polyphonic chord based on the set chord type, e.g. duet, big band and the many other types.

With the previous WERSI Chord, the generated notes were played with only one sound. This playing style does not correspond to that of a big band or an orchestra.

WERSI Chord Band distributes the individual sounds trumpet, trombone and saxophone to the individual voices of a chord.

In a chamber orchestra, the individual instruments violins, violas, cellos and bass play different parts.

The WERSI Chord Band can also be used for other instruments. For example, on a guitar where only the third voice is played with a synth sound.

The volume, standard and sound of each individual voice can be adjusted by controllers.

Get started right away!

If you want to get started right away and try out the many possibilities of the new WERSI Chord Band, it’s best to use the Total Presets.

These can be found in the Total Preset Banks labeled WERSI Chord Band 1 to 4.

Putting together sounds for the band

We have already saved 100 of these combinations for you!

You can also adapt these combinations to suit your requirements or create completely new combinations.

Customize individual voices of the band

The absolute special feature is the setting options for the play area!

Only this function transforms your instrument into a real band.

The individual sounds can be adjusted via Edit.

Panorama, reverb, dynamics and the sound controllers as well as dynamics, octave and other values that you already know from the selectors.

An instrument playing the melody or a solo uses the full range of the respective sound. The band in the background, however, plays in the middle range. It would be unnatural for the band to follow the melody or solo in pitch and always play higher or lower.

To ensure that the notes of the WERSI Chord only move within the natural playing range, it is possible to set the lowest and highest note.

Experience the sound of the legendary LOWREY organ on your OAX instrument. Use the Live Organ interface to switch the tabs for the foot positions of the drawbars, the tabs for the theater sounds and three foot positions each for strings and vocals. As well as Vibrato, Rotor, Tremolo, Sustain and Ensemble.

In addition to the Lowrey Live Organ, 82 additional LOWREY sound, 64 effect sounds and 4 reverb programs are available.

The extension package requires the activation of “OAX Version 3.0 + WERSI Vision”.

Flute types

The LOWREY has six different drawbar tones.

Flute Volumes

The individual foot positions of the organ are switched on and off using the nine tabs on the main page. The volumes of the foot positions can be adjusted using the nine drawbars.

Tabs to drawbars

With the Tabs to Drawbars function, the foot positions are linked to the mechanical drawbars and you can change the volume while playing. Just like you are used to with the OX7 or VB3.

Percussion Settings – Volumes

With 2nd, 3rd and User you set the foot positions for the percussion. With User, the foot positions are set using the seven drawbars.

Use Loud to change the volume of the percussion. Mono reduces the percussion on a chord to the highest note.

When VELOCITY is activated, the volume of the percussion is influenced by the keyboard dynamics.

Use the Decay drawbar to set the length of the percussion. On the right-hand side, you will find special settings for the four groups Flutes, Theater, Vocals and Strings.

Like the other Live Organs, the LOWREY has the large Live Organ surface as well as the Mini surface and the Profi display.

If you want to get started straight away and try out the many facets of the Lowrey sound, it is best to use the Total Presets. These can be found in the Total Preset Banks labeled Lowrey Organ 1 to 3 and Lowrey Variable Drawbars.

In addition to the Lowrey Live Organ, 82 additional LOWREY sounds, 64 effect sounds and 4 reverb programs are available.

Changes in the OAX software without the OAX V3.0 extension and WERSI Vision

Streaming the sound engine

With the new OAX streaming technology, the tones are only loaded into the internal RAM when required. On the one hand, this shortens the time the instrument needs from switching on to being ready to play and, on the other hand, it reduces the memory requirements for the internal RAM.

The OAX streaming technology on older instruments: The instrument also starts much faster, but not as fast as newer instruments. With these older instruments, there is no effect on the functionality of the new ones.

New sound effects

Typewriter – Typewriter Ring – Typewriter Back – Animal Howl – Animal Laugh – Jungle – Rain – Thunderstorm 3 – Thunderstorm 4 – Thunderstorm 5 – Rowing – Waves + Seagulls – Waves – Sonar 1 – Sonar 2 – Sonar 3

Other new features

A more legible design has been chosen for the mappings of the total preset, sounds and styles and there have been other small changes to the professional display.

The “Link to upper manual 1” function has been added to the WERSI Chord. The chord types have also been expanded
